Note: MUG passed away last night (June 25th, 2006) at 10:57 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. As you know, it was sick for a while. It helped a lot of people in a lot of ways during it's hey-day, though. Anyway, before I get too teary eyed, I'm gonna end this little goodbye to MUG. Just thought you should know why it's kinda glazed over. The poetry will stay here so people can view it. So long, though, and thanks for all the fish. MUG is dead. Long live poetry. Signed, kpaul (luap) mallasch
This is a section where I will highlight some of the poets on the site. They're sorted in alphabetical order. If you think someone should be on this page, send me an email and let me know. Same goes if for some reason you feel someone shouldn't be highlighted here. Thanks.
No one really cares anyway. So why tell? If you are interested, I have e-mail, but the likelihood of me getting that from many people here....not much. Don't e-mail spam, though, or I will be in rage.

Jen is 21, residing in Toronto suburbia land and isn't scared of riding public transit.
Her work is inspired by the strange/crazy/beautiful people/places/objects/thoughts/feelings which shape her life.
Jen could blab on and on about herself, but feels that the energy dedicated to reading such a lengthy bio would be better spent on reading her actual work.
I am a 35 year old woman clinging to "chick" status. My mantra is "life is full of possibilities and the thrill of the unknown is so great". I reside within my mind which resides as of the last 3 yrs in WA state. I bounce between the memory of growing up between the midwest cornfields and the heat of city life in Texas. I now reside in Washington state. I wake up every morning with the feeling that something amazing is going to happen, and it always does. Hmmm. I am free spirited, opinionated and talk way too much. I am a mom of a gorgeous, 10 year old little girl who challenges and motivates me. My favorite 2 poets are Robert Frost and Charles Bukowski, reflecting my love for both the smooth caress of life as well as the bite. Some of my fave books: For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Celestine Prophesy, A Wrinkle in Time, Bridge to Tarabythia, Will Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Memoirs of a Geisha, A Course in Miracles, Catcher in the Rye and all time favorite, Wuthering Heights. Oh yeah, you can find me in other places by my pen name: Chloe Ryan (yahoo pulls up some of my stuff)
John Frank Taylor?s self-proclaimed assault on the literary world can be traced back to his birth October 14, 1971. Taylor's upbringing was greatly influenced by his 'poor, middle-class, white trash upbringing.' He's lived most of his life in the culturally impaired climate of Santee. Taylor's artistic blossoming came to fruition in Room 503 of Santana High School in ?87-?88.
'My teacher, Shelly Guinan saw a prospective talent and convinced me to pursue art, in general. The entire environment was inspirational for me. The idea of creating something that I could be proud of was something new and exciting for me,' Taylor says.
It was at Santana High School that Taylor began experimenting with many different artistic mediums including clay, metal, plaster, wood, acrylics, and charcoal. It was also at this time that he began to push the boundaries of controversial subject matter. One example was a mixed media piece on the portrayal of racism entitled 'Krucifikkshun.'
'I began writing my senior year, where I was able to make contact with my friend-teacher-mentor, Michael McLarty. He helped me to see that there was a poet, and more importantly, a human that had something to say inside of me. All it takes to be a poet is to have something to say,' Taylor says.
Since that time he's focused most of his artistic energies into his poetry. In the past few years, he has written nearly One thousand poems and several short stories As well as Plays and screenplays. He's also been published numerous times on the World Wide Web at such sites as Junkyard Press, Quantum Muse, Free-verse, as well as others. Taylor has Self-Published three books to date and is currently working on a novel. He describes his poems as 'emotional tangents with a bit of social commentary thrown in for good measure. They're me, all the good and bad rolled up into one; usually more of the bad,' Taylor laughs.
His influences include Blake, Frost, Gibran, Charles Bukowski, Steve Kowit, Henry Rollins, Edgar Allen Poe, Clive Barker, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dante, Neil Gaiman, Shakespeare, Freud, Jung and Michael McLarty.
As for the future, Taylor hopes to keep "expressing myself, just like I am now. I'm not out to make a lot of money or anything like that. I'm happy with what I'm doing now. I just want to keep getting better and pushing myself to the limit of reality. Then, when I get to that point, I'll jump," Taylor says.

Bit of a techhead. Guitar fingerstyle playing is a passion. Latent redneck. I love to experiment/play with words, so my poems take different forms and rhythms. I Appreciate any constructive comments. Currently alive and well in Chesapeake, Ohio USA
I am 24. In my spare time I write poetry, make music, make art, spend time with friends, read, watch movies, listen to music,work,eat,sleep,sleep,live-and that's about it. As far as poetry goes I try to write as often as I am able and post it on here when I think it might be decent or close to it.
